You may be asking yourself, how do I get started? Well, that’s an excellent question. We’ll try to make this as easy as possible.
We know that you are the out-going, always on the run type, so we thought we'd save you some time by answering a few pressing questions.
- What if I don’t have a fancy-shmancy Web site?
- So how much will this set me back? Am I going to have to give my right arm?
- This sounds cool, but how will using CampRoster save me money?
- Do I need an Internet connection?
- How do I know if CampRoster is a good fit for my camp?
- What happens as my group grows and I want more high-tech features?
- 1. What if I don’t have a fancy-shmancy Web site?
That's not a problem. Believe it or not, you can offer online registration without your own Web site. You can use ours! We'll give you a link to our site for online registration to be used in your marketing materials and e-mails. Alternatively, we do provide Web site design and hosting services. So if you're interested in creating one of your own, we'll be glad to get you on your way. A Web site is a great, if not crucial, tool for marketing and getting information out to interested registrants, alumni, donors and more.
- 2. So how much will this set me back? Am I going to have to give my right arm?
No way! You definitely need that arm so you can eat your Wheaties®, duh. Seriously though, the cost of the service is based on the Camp Director’s need. Here are some of the factors we take into consideration:
- Design complexity for your custom Web site.
- The number of registrants you have on a yearly basis.
- Whether your organization is for-profit or non-profit. There is a non-profit discount.
- The length of the service agreement. As you would expect, the longer we agree to work together, the lower the cost. The length of service depends on your needs.
- 3. This sounds cool, but how will using CampRoster save me money?
Organizations utilize our services for a number of reasons, including to save money and increase revenue. Money-savers include:
- Not having to set up a payment gateway. A gateway is required to process credit cards on the Internet and may cost hundreds of dollars up front, plus a monthly fee.
- Using confirmation e-mails to replace the printing and mailing required for your registrants' Welcome Packets.
- Using captured e-mail data to send reminders and other messages that would typically require printing and mailing.
- The use of online registration alone is a huge time-saver because the information is automatically entered into our database.
- 4. Do I need an Internet connection?
Yes. This is not a good solution if you can’t access the Internet. However, if you are online, this is by far the best solution because you can access the administrative functions from any computer with an Internet connection – whether it's at camp, the office, home or even Starbucks®. Isn't that convenient?
- 5. How do I know if CampRoster is a good fit for my camp?
We work with groups of all types and sizes. Every camp is unique, and we understand that. In fact, we love that! Wouldn't it be boring if we were all the same? The flexibility of our system and the expertise of your personal account manager allow us to make sure that if we take on a group, we can deliver success. It's the perfect combination.
- 6. What happens as my group grows and I want more high-tech features?
First, we congratulate you! That's what happens when you work with us (no, we're not modest). Next, let us know what you want, or we can make a recommendation. If it is feasible, we’ll add it. We want to become your technology and administrative partner. You want to better your organization, and we can't wait to help! Because we work closely with our clients, many of the tools we've created were at the request of a particular camp. So the next new tool may be specifically for you.
Do you have a question that you don't see answered here? No problem. Just give us a call, or send an e-mail when you have a minute to service@camproster.com. You'll find additional info on our Contact Us page.
